현대차 북미 법인은 지난 4일 내달부터 미국에서 시판하게 될 쏘나타 2.0T 모델의 가격을 발표했다. 2.0T 모델은 직분사에 트윈 스크롤 터보를 더해 274마력을 발휘하는 4기통 2.0리터 엔진을 장착한 모델로 지난 3월 뉴욕 모터쇼에서 공개됐었다.
이번에 확정 발표된 가격은 SE 2.0T가 24,145달러(2,717만원), 리미티드 SE 2.0T가 27,045달러(3,043만원)이다.
쏘나타 2.0T는 타사의 동급 2.0 터보 엔진뿐 아니라 6기통 3.5리터급 엔진에 비해서도 탁월한 동력 성능을 발휘하면서 뛰어난 연비를 달성해 현대가 추진하고 있는 블루 드라이브가 어느 수준에 도달했는지 잘 보여주는 리딩 모델로 자리 잡을 전망이다.
쏘나타 2.0T에는 274마력 트윈 스크롤 터보 직분사 2.0 엔진과 패들 시프터가 적용된 자동 6단 변속기가 장착된다. 0-60MPH(약97km/h) 가속에는 6.5초가 걸릴 것으로 알려졌으며, 연비는 시내 22mpg(9.3km/L)와 고속도로 33mpg(14km/h)를 달성했다.
